Today, all year 6 children wave goodbye to primary school to start another journey (secondary school). A new chapter filled with so much anxiety and unknown.

For some, they are transitioning with their primary school friends to continue together while for some it is going to be a new adventure of getting to meet new people, and making friends.

Do you remember your primary school days? Are you still friends with the people you went to school together?

I can only remember one person and we are still friends till today. To be honest , I don’t think I can recognise anyone else if I get to see them now.

The best memories are my secondary school days but that’s a write up for another day.

As I sat down at the school hall this afternoon, watching year 6 goodbye videos of how they started till this present day, I manage to hold it together because it was so emotional for me.

Just like that 7 years gone!!!.

Well done to all year 6 2023 students who graduated today (21/07/23) and to all the families celebrating today. It is well deserved for we have put in the work and it’s time to celebrate.

My prayer is that the Almighty God will guide, keep and protect them as they start these new phase of secondary school in Jesus name Amen.
