My niece started supporting Arsenal this year, and oh, her excitement baffles me!

She goes on about how she likes Bukayo Saka, how much she loves the club, and all that. I just sat there listening and nodding, thinking, “If only you knew the team you’ve chosen to support…”

No challenge—she’ll soon find out for herself!

Then yesterday, she sent me a message: “Hello, Aunty. I’m a little late on this, but—respectfully… UP GUNNERRRRSSSSS!”

I replied, “Congratulations on your win. No hard feelings—it’s football, and you win some, you lose some.”

It got me thinking about new converts.

Do you remember when you gave your life to Christ? The excitement and joy you felt? You attended every church service, everyone knew you, and you even asked God to help you burn for Him.

Do you still feel that way? Are you still on fire?

All those years Arsenal struggled to lift the cup, my niece never once mentioned the club to me. But now she’s so excited to talk about them—and shade me when they win! 😀

The Bible says, “Rejoice with them that rejoice,” so I’m rejoicing with her.

Don’t keep Jesus to yourself. Let the people around you know about Him. Share your faith and testimonies of how knowing Him changed your life. Invite them to experience the same—and much more.

Our world needs the message of hope.

“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
—Romans 1:16 (AMPC)
